IDAHO FALLS — A local beauty advocate and salon owner has recently published a self-help book and is holding book signings in Idaho and Utah.

Starting Friday, Tami Hymas will be signing her new book “beUtoFullness” at Barnes and Noble in Idaho Falls. The signing is from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. An additional signing will be held Saturday between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

“You’re beautiful, you’re brilliantly made to be great, I have a book that teaches that,” Hymas says.

The book, that was finished Jan. 1, is available on Amazon, Apple’s app store, Google Play, as well as Barnes and Noble online.

“I wrote the book because I care more about the truth about beauty and you than I care about industry standards,” Hymas says.

Hymas’ play on the word beautifulness (BeUtoFullness) has a specific meaning, which she outlines in her book. She defines it as being an individual who knows their value, believes in others, embraces strengths and weaknesses and shares them with the world.

“BeUtofullness is really a word, but it means so much more than that,” Hymas says. “We all have an exterior that none of us chose, but we do choose what we do with it.”

Hymas says in the book she teaches the truth about the beauty world. She says readers will find out how they’re made and how they can become their best self.

“I teach you just the law, I don’t sell you anything, I don’t alter anything, I just give you truth,” Hymas says. “We’re going to take you and teach you your more, and help you with your face shape and makeup applications, and hair types, and necklines for your clothes.”
