Appointments required to visit Jefferson County DMV and Assessors Office
Published atRIGBY — Those needing to visit the Department of Motor Vehicles and Assessor’s Office in Jefferson County will need to make an appointment.
As of Monday, the county moved to an appointment-only system until further notice. Complications with a new state-launched software leading to long lines and an increased risk of COVID-19 transmission prompted the change, according to a news release.

Title transactions are limited to one per appointment time. Those needing titles for multiple vehicles need to scheduled multiple appointments. Individuals requesting Assessor’s Office or geographic information system (GIS) services, including homeowner’s exemptions, should also make an appointment.
County officials are asking those who visit the DMV and Assessors office to come prepared with all necessary identification, vehicle information and method of payment.
Idaho Transportation Department has extended registration deadlines. If a vehicle was due for renewal from September thru December, the new deadline is now January 31.
