We will be surprising deserving people and families every day from now until Christmas with gifts unique to their circumstances.
The past few months have been extremely rough for Lucy Galaviz. She quit her job to take care of her mom who was struggling with cancer. In October, her mom lost her battle and passed away.
During her final days, Lucy’s husband became sick with COVID-19 and was in the hospital. While trying to make funeral arrangements for her mother to be taken to Mexico, Lucy was informed that her husband needed to be placed on a ventilator to help his organs. When arrangements were finalized to take her mom home, Lucy didn’t know whether to leave her husband for a few days. She decided to make the decision to leave with her brothers on a quick trip to give their mother a final goodbye.
While in Mexico, Lucy received a call that her husband was not doing very well. She immediately packed her bags and headed back to Idaho. Her husband passed away before she could arrive.
Lucy had to plan two funerals in a few weeks and lost two of her best friends. Secret Santa heard about the situation and asked the East Idaho News elves to go visit her and bring some Christmas cheer during this difficult time. Watch the video above to see the surprise.
