A Secret Santa is back and this Christmas is bigger than ever!

The EastIdahoNews.com team is busy helping a local man gift more than $500,000 this holiday season. A lot more. Secret Santa is a real person who wants to remain anonymous and hopes to help as many individuals in our community as he can.

We will be surprising deserving people and families every day from now until Christmas with gifts unique to their circumstances.

In October, Brittany Jenkins’ husband, Austin Jenkins, and her 13-year-old sister, Mariah Jensen, were killed in a horrible crash. Two days before the accident, Brittany and Austin learned she was pregnant with their third child. They also have two daughters – an 18-month-old and a 3-year-old.

Austin was in medical school and now Brittany has moved home with her parents in Pocatello. She recently had surgery due to knee injuries from the crash and she’s working on putting life back together as she prepares for her baby due in June. If she has a boy, she plans to name him Austin. If she has a girl, she plans to name her Mariah.

Secret Santa heard about Brittany’s situation and asked the East Idaho News elves to visit her with some early Christmas gifts. Watch the video above to see the touching surprise.
