A Secret Santa is back and this Christmas is bigger than ever!

The EastIdahoNews.com team is busy helping a local man gift more than $500,000 this holiday season. A lot more. Secret Santa is a real person who wants to remain anonymous and hopes to help as many individuals in our community as he can.

Misty and Ben Ashley have 12 kids between the ages of 17 and one. Many are adopted or in the process of being adopted due to special circumstances.

Both parents work extremely hard. Ben wakes up around 4 a.m. and doesn’t get home until after 10 p.m. some nights. Misty works in the evenings and gets home around 1 a.m. They never complain and always have a smile on their faces.

The Ashleys got a 15 passenger van from the junkyard a few years ago but it’s broken and has been sitting in their driveway for months. They aren’t able to travel anywhere together and need new furniture so everyone has a place to sleep.

Secret Santa heard about their circumstances and asked the East Idaho News elves to surprise them. Watch the video above to see what happened!
