POCATELLO — After interviewing numerous witnesses, Pocatello police have more questions than answers about a drive-by shooting on Tuesday night.

Officers responded to the 800 block of South Arthur Avenue around 10 p.m. after calls of the shooting, Lt. John Walker said.

While there, officers spoke with several witnesses who said they heard or saw a vehicle drive by a home in the area, and someone shot a gun at the building. But little else was offered at this time.

“There were several shots fired, and it appears, possibly, that a house was struck,” Walker told EastIdahoNews.com. “We are still investigating to find more details, more information.”

Although officers found what appears to be bullet holes in the home, no shell casings were found at the scene. It’s possible, though, that a revolver, which does not discharge spent casings, was used. But witnesses couldn’t provide even a starting point for identifying a suspect or suspect vehicle.

Witnesses told officers that they saw a vehicle and muzzle flashes, and little else.

“There’s a lot of questions we’ve got to answer still,” Walker said.

No one was reported hurt in the shooting.
