Authorities identify man killed in Pocatello stabbing case

POCATELLO — Pocatello Police are continuing to investigate a fatal stabbing involving three people early Monday morning.
A Pocatello Police officer was at Portneuf Medical Center just after midnight when two men entered the emergency room advising staff that they had been stabbed, according to a department spokesman. Both men were admitted to PMC for treatment. Officers then responded to the 900 block of East Lander Street, where a third stabbing victim was found and pronounced dead at the scene.

On Tuesday, police identified the stabbing victim as 43-year-old Christopher Willis of Pocatello. An autopsy has been scheduled for Willis, according to a department news release.
The identities of the two others have not been disclosed, but officials say one of them remains in the hospital due to their injuries. The other was released from the hospital.
Department spokesman Lt. John Walker says there is no longer any danger to the community.
