SWAN VALLEY – The Idaho Transportation Department will begin routine maintenance operations with crews crack sealing and dura-patching potholes on Idaho Highway 31 beginning Wednesday.
The section of highway between Swan Valley and Victor is in great need of maintenance to prevent further erosion, according to an ITD news release.
As operations proceed, maintenance crews will set up temporary intermittent traffic control. Traffic control will entail temporary single-lane closures that will include a flagger and reduced speed limits. Motorists should anticipate and watch for reduced speeds, flaggers and crews working. Traffic control will be set up briefly to ensure minimal impacts to the traveling public.
Motorists are encouraged to slow down and pay attention when traveling through the work zone.
Highway maintenance operations are expected to be completed by the end of May.
