Man who escaped local jail arrested in Mexico

IDAHO FALLS — Authorities arrested an Idaho Falls man in Mexico after he escaped from the Bonneville County Jail.
The US Marshal’s Service and Mexican law enforcement arrested 20-year-old Elias Diego-Bradley in Tijuana. US Marshals brought Diego-Bradley across the United States-Mexico Border Wednesday morning and booked him into a San Deigo County Jail.

Diego-Bradley ran from the jail in Idaho Falls on Aug. 10. He escaped a day after being sentenced to prison for two felony counts of video voyeurism by sending a sexual image without consent. He also pleaded guilty to felony witness intimidation.
Prior to receiving his sentence, Diego-Bradley had been part of a work-detail program at the jail. The day after his sentencing, the work detail crew was preparing to leave for the day’s task when Diego-Bradley ran from the jail. Deputies and Idaho Falls Police officers searched for Diego-Bradley but he made it out of the country.

Diego-Bradley was charged with a felony escape charge for the incident. It is expected he will be extradited back to Idaho.
