Teton Pass will close on Thursday for avalanche control
Published atJACKSON, Wyo. — Teton Pass is scheduled to close at noon Thursday, Jan. 6, for avalanche control.
According to a news release sent out by the Wyoming Department of Transportation, “reduced visibility, winter driving conditions and increasing avalanche hazard may force an earlier closure.”
There is no parking allowed along Wyoming 22 between Jackson and the Idaho state line from milepost 7 to 17.
The state is asking drivers and backcountry users to plan accordingly.
