EastIdahoNews.com and Ashley Furniture HomeStore in Idaho Falls and Pocatello are partnering to honor people in our community for Feel Good Friday. Every week, we surprise someone deserving of special recognition.

We have received messages about Dan Williams of Rexburg for the past three years! Here’s one of them:

Dan Williams has dedicated so much to the 4H program! He has been the auctioneer at the 4H sale for about 15 years. Not only has he been the auctioneer, he has done sheep, steer and horse groups. He has been the auctioneer for Madison and Fremont 4H Fair sales and has also done Jefferson, Lemhi and Bonneville Counties.

The 4H program is such an important program. It teaches kids to be responsible by getting up every morning and feeding the animals plus feeding them every night. It teaches kids about the value of money. They have to buy the animal, the feed, etc. and then hope the animal makes weight to be able to qualify for the auction.

When he’s not helping with 4H, Dan teaches at Rigby High School.

We decided to finally pay Dan a visit and surprise him for Feel Good Friday. Watch the video in the player above!
