According to Union Pacific spokeswoman Robynn Tysver, approximately 25 train cars were derailed at the Pocatello Rail Yard near Shoshone avenue around 10 p.m. No injuries have been reported and the mainline “was not impacted,” Tysver told EastIdahoNews.com.

Clean-up crews attempted to clear the area of overturned cars most of Monday morning.

The cause of the derailment has not been released and the incident is under investigation, Tysver said.
