A Feel Good Friday surprise for an 8-year-old who gave rodeo winnings to cancer fund
Published atEastIdahoNews.com and Ashley in Idaho Falls and Pocatello are partnering to honor people in our community for Feel Good Friday. Every week, we surprise someone deserving of special recognition.
We recently received an email about a second grader named Charlee who lives in American Falls:
Charlee is 8 years old and competes in rodeo. This last spring she pledged to donate half of her rodeo winnings to a fund that would benefit people going through cancer. We are all so proud of Charlee for how hard she works in school and in rodeo but we love her giving heart.
We learned Charlee raised $1,600 and was happy to help cancer patients. We decided to surprise and thank her during the school day for all she’s done. Watch the video in the player above!
