EastIdahoNews.com and Ashley in Idaho Falls and Pocatello are partnering to honor people in our community for Feel Good Friday. Every week, we surprise someone deserving of special recognition.

It’s been a long winter in eastern Idaho and we recently learned about the owner of a gas station who has gone the extra mile to help customers and drivers.

Here’s a message we received about him during a big storm:

I just wanted to share that the man working at the service station that is off the Osgood exit needs some recognition. Several trucks had to exit there due to the bad roads. My mom was sitting there for quite a while waiting for it to clear in her car. She said he came out to all of their windows and let them know that coffee and hot chocolate were free. He came out with icemelt from his store and put it on a spot on the road to try to avoid people sliding into a truck there. He fell but kept hustling around trying to do what he could to help. Maybe he would be a good candidate for a Feel Good Friday. Stay safe out there!

We agreed and decided to surprise the worker for Feel Good Friday! We didn’t even know his name but we found him. Check it out in the video player above!
