Drew Durrant, owner of Yellowstone Playhouse in Island Park, answers 7 Questions with Emmy
Published at | Updated atEvery week I’m interviewing exciting people from Idaho and around the world!
Drew Durrant is the founder of The Yellowstone Playhouse in Island Park. Every night during the summer, he and his cast serve a delicious dinner to guests and perform musical spoofs. The theater is extremely popular and almost every show sells out.
Drew and his wife also own the Rattlin’ D Playhouse in Hurricane, Utah where shows are performed during the winter.
Drew was one of my first interviews two years ago but I thought it’d be great to catch up again and see what’s new! Here’s what I asked him:
- How do you pick the different shows you do each year?
- How do you come up with the funny stuff you perform?
- You went to high school with my dad. Do you have any dirt on him?
- What was the first show Yellowstone Playhouse performed?
- How late do you stay each night after your shows?
- How does your costume designer come up with all the cool costumes?
- Has there ever been a time when you can’t start laughing during a show?
- What has been your favorite production that you’ve performed?
- What has been your most embarrassing moment on stage?
- I’m in the play ‘Frozen.’ Do you have any acting advice for me?
