Frightening and fun Halloween events in southeast Idaho

Idaho — Halloween falls on a Tuesday this year, but that hasn’t dampened the spirit of many ghouls and goblins who have opened attractions in the area. There are events that range from not-scary-at-all to hair-raising. You’re sure to find something that will entice every scream addict or fun-lover in your life.

Here are some fun and scary events and attractions in eastern Idaho this year:

Pocatello

Haunted Hollow – Family Spook Alley
Oct. 19-21, 26-28 and 30-31
201 Jefferson Avenue (Soulscape Yoga Studio)
Admission is $3
Hours: 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. weekdays and Saturdays from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Creep through the haunted catacombs, adventure across a Jurassic forest and try not to get abducted as you beam through Area 51. Trick-or-treating on Halloween.

Swore Farms Corn Maze and More
Monday through Friday, 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
225 Ballard Street
Prices range from $3-$8, depending on what activity you’re participating in.
Night Walks are available. They have a play area, wagon rides, slides and pumpkins.

Haunted History Walking Tours
Oct. 20-21 and Oct. 27-28
Downtown Pocatello
Tours begin around 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Tickets must be purchased in advance: $25 for an Adult, $20 for 8-15 year-olds.
Visit haunted buildings in Pocatello, learn more about the history of the building and experience for yourself any haunted activity taking place.

Pocatello Car Club Trunk or Treat
Oct. 21
Parking Lots of Old Town
3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Free
There will be food vendors, activities and candy for all ages.

Screamatorium at the Leavitt Center
Oct. 27, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Oct. 28 from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Admission is $6
It is fun for the whole family.

Trick or Treat at the Port
Oct. 27, 6-8 p.m.
10588 Fairground Drive
Free to the public
The Portneuf Wellness Complex is having their first Trick or Treat.

Zoo Boo
Oct. 28, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Zoo Idaho: 2900 South 2nd Avenue
Regular admission to the zoo applies.
Zoo Idaho is hosting their costume contest and Halloween Bash. Vendors, a costume contest, animal enrichment and safe trick-or-treating will be offered.

Trick or Treat at Quinn Meadows
Oct. 30, 3 p.m. to 5 pm.
1033 West Quinn Road
Free
Residents will be handing out candy to all the little trick or treaters.

Trick or Treat in Old Town
Oct. 31 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Old Town Pocatello
Free
Merchants and businesses are opening their doors to hand out treats to the trick or treaters.

Blackfoot

SRD Haunted Fairgrounds
Oct. 20,-21, Oct. 27-28 and Oct. 31, Fridays 7 to 10 p.m. and Saturdays 6 to 11 p.m.
Bannock County Fairgrounds: 10588 Fairgrounds Drive, D Barn
Full Haunt Experience: $10 ages 12 and up, $3 for kids three to 11
Spook Alley Only: $3 per person, all ages
A traditional style Haunted House with a Spook Alley option for little ones and a “NO FEAR” option for those who dare. Lots of jump scares, but no touching.

Slaughter’s Realm Haunted Attraction
Open almost daily until Halloween from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays, Friday and Saturday from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

$10 general admission or $15 fastpass.

Idaho Falls

Doom Haunted Attraction
Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday until Halloween. Weekday hours are from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturdays from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Camp Hayden is hosting its 4th Annual Special Needs Trunk or Treat at The Development Workshop in Idaho Falls. This accessible trunk or treat is for children and adults with disabilities and their families.

Shelley

Lost Souls Attractions

Open every day (except Sundays) starting Oct. 18, 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. weekdays; 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays; 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. Saturdays; and Halloween from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

This is an experience for the serious scream-seekers. It isn’t recommended for children under 10, and no infants or toddlers are allowed.

Thursday hours are 7-10 pm and Friday-Saturday is 7-11 pm.
