Four people transported to the hospital after two-vehicle crash in Bonneville County
Published at | Updated atIDAHO FALLS — Idaho State Police troopers are investigating a two-vehicle crash that led to four people being transported to the hospital Thursday evening.
The incident happened just before 8:50 p.m. on U.S. Highway 20 and Ernest Drive in Bonneville County.
A Chevrolet El Camino was driving westbound on US-20 when it collided with a Chevrolet Silverado that failed to yield when entering the highway from Ernest Drive, according to a news release from ISP.
The El Camino was driven by a 17-year-old boy and there was an 18-year-old boy passenger, both from Idaho Falls.
The Silverado was driven by a 51-year-old man and had a 47-year-old woman and two juvenile passengers, all from Idaho Falls.
Idaho Falls Fire Department spokeswoman Kerry Hammon told EastIdahoNews.com the 17-year-old and the 18-year-old in the El Camino were transported to a local hospital. The 18-year-old was ejected from the vehicle. Both are in stable condition.
Hammon said the 51-year-old man and a 15-year-old girl passenger from the Silverado were transported to the hospital in stable condition.
Everyone was wearing seatbelts, according to ISP.
All lanes on US-20 were blocked for approximately two and a half hours.
