IDAHO FALLS – An Idaho Falls woman, a Twin Falls man and a Rigby man have all been indicted by a grand jury after reportedly producing, sending and receiving sexual videos of a two-year-old.

Rexanna Johnston, 32, of Idaho Falls, was indicted by a grand jury on Sept. 26 for two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor child, two counts of distribution of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.

Nicholas Glenn Baker, 37, of Twin Falls, was indicted on one count of sexual exploitation of a minor child, one count of receipt of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.

Dale John Hensel, 53, of Rigby, was indicted on one count of receipt of child pornography.

According to the indictment, Baker and Hensel both “unlawfully and knowingly” received child pornography from Johnston.

Law enforcement reportedly found the explicit photos on Baker’s two cell phones and on Hensel’s desktop computer.

Johnston was originally charged locally with six counts of felony possessing or accessing child sexually exploitative material.

Days after the original charges, she was additionally charged with three counts of lewd conduct with a child under 16; three counts of causing, inducing or permitting a child to engage in or be used for child sexually exploitative material; and one count of knowingly distributing child sexually exploitative material.

The local case was dismissed on Oct. 2 after the indictment was filed. Johnston was then transported from the Bonneville County Jail to the Jefferson County Jail, where federal inmates can be housed.

According to the indictment, Johnston “coerce(d) ‘Minor Victim,’ a minor born in 2022, to engage in sexually explicit conduct.”

Baker was originally charged in Twin Falls with six counts of possession of child sexually exploitative material. Those local charges were dismissed on Oct. 3 after the indictment.

Baker was then transported and booked into the Cassia County Jail.

Hensel was originally charged in Jefferson County with one count of possession of child sexually exploitative material. His local charges were dismissed on Oct. 2 after the indictment.

According to the VINE by the Idaho Department of Corrections, he is still in custody at the Jefferson County Jail.

Background of the case

Police reports show on July 17, an officer with the Idaho Falls Police Department was notified by the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children that someone in Idaho Falls had uploaded a video of child sexual abuse material to the internet.

The video allegedly showed an adult raping a young child who was between the ages of three and five years old.

On Aug. 1, the officer got a search warrant for a cloud account identified as belonging to Johnston.

On the account, the officer found videos taken on Snapchat of a two-year-old in sexual positions, according to court documents.

Through investigation, officers were able to determine that the child’s mother was incarcerated in Idaho from July 21 to Aug. 2, and that the child was being taken care of by Johnston during at least part of this time.

Because of this information, officers got a search warrant for Johnston’s home.

Johnston and her fiancé were interviewed by police, where they discovered the child was now in the care of another relative at a different residence.

Johnston refused to answer any questions without a lawyer present.
