Coroner identifies man killed in crash the day before Thanksgiving

SWAN VALLEY — A coroner has identified a man who died in a crash the day before Thanksgiving.

Bonneville County Coroner Rick Taylor identified the man as Lucas Miller, 41, of Ammon. Taylor said Miller was ejected from the vehicle and died from injuries related to the crash.

The crash happened on Wednesday at 11:40 p.m. on U.S. Highway 26 around mile marker 373 near Swan Valley.

Miller was driving eastbound in a 2021 Infiniti Q50. The vehicle went off the road, where it rolled and came to rest, Idaho State Police said in a news release.

Miller was not wearing his seatbelt, police said. He died at the scene of the crash.

The incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
