I spoke with Henry a few months ago in Los Angeles and I’m happy to be chatting with him again about his newest children’s book “Detective Duck: The Case of the Strange Splash.” Here’s what I asked him:
- What inspired you to write “Detective Duck”?
- What made you pick a beaver to be Willow, the duck’s dad?
- Mr. McBeaver is a very supportive father, reassuring Willow she can do whatever she puts her mind to. How do you relate to that?
- Willow has lots of friends that help her throughout the book. What do you think makes a good friend?
- Willow has a “stuff box” that has items that help her. Do you have a “stuff box” or junk drawer and what’s in it?
- We know you’ve written several books. Have you always enjoyed creating and telling stories?
- Can you give me any hints about what the next Detective Duck mystery will be about?
Henry also released his memoir “Being Henry: The Fonz…and Beyond” this week.
