Rexburg Care Fair aims to connect Rexburg-area residents with vital resources

REXBURG — Madison County residents are invited to an event that aims to strengthen the bonds that make Madison County a “resilient, caring community” by making sure residents know about low-cost or free resources available to them in times of need.
The Rexburg Care Fair is set to take place on Saturday, Nov. 18. It is a collaborative effort by the Rexburg Free Clinic, Madison Cares and the Family Crisis Center, according to a news release from the Rexburg Free Clinic.
The goal of the Rexburg Care Fair is to give people a chance to connect with local resources, support services and community organizations.
“We want the people of Madison County to know when times are tough, there is help available,” Maximillian Gold, Public Relations Director for the Rexburg Free Clinic, said. “Whether it’s low-cost dental care, a quick trip to the doctor, a bag of food or job training, you can count on your community to have your back.”

Grand Peaks Dental, the Congregant Meals Senior Center, Development Workshop, Inc. and the Eastern Idaho Community Action Partnership, among others, will showcase the services they offer to the community.
“This diverse array of organizations ensures that attendees will have access to a wide range of resources and support,” organizers stated in the news release.
Live music will be performed by local band The Free Ones, and Broulim’s will be providing complimentary grilled hot dogs. There will also be an onsite mini thrift store, and each attendee will receive a coupon for a free Frosty from Wendy’s in Rexburg.
A raffle will be held with “enticing” prizes, such as a gift certificate for a free massage from Intrinsic Massage, a semester of free haircuts from Blends Barbershop in Rexburg, free smoothies and meals from Tropical Smoothie Café and more.
