Washington man sentenced to 9 years in prison after pleading guilty to amended charges
Published atPOCATELLO — A Wenatchee, Washington, man who pleaded guilty to an amended charge of injury to a child has been sentenced to nine years in prison.
After reaching a plea agreement with the Bannock County Prosecutor’s Office, 20-year-old Jacob David Hill pleaded guilty to one felony count of injury to a child. He was initially charged with rape.

At a hearing Monday, Hill was sentenced to a prison term of three to nine years by District Judge Rick Carnaroli, court records show.
Hill was arrested last November following an investigation launched when the Bannock County Sheriff’s Office received reports of a rape.
The teenage victim told deputies she and Hill were playing video games when Hill began to “make moves” on her. Despite telling Hill to stop multiple times, the victim said, Hill forced himself on her.

She provided officers with a screenshot of a message Hill sent to a friend, claiming to have had sex with the victim.
In addition to the prison sentence, Hill was ordered to pay $845.50 in fees and fines.
Hill also has a outstanding extradition order for the state of Washington, where is charged with the rape of a child.
