Idaho Falls’ favorite farmers market vendors are back for Winter Market
Published atIDAHO FALLS — Still not sure what to get your family for Christmas this year? The folks who brought you the Idaho Falls Farmers Market are celebrating the season with Winter Market in Idaho Falls on Saturday.
The farmers market has been running from May through October for over 30 years, and there has been a “huge amount of support” to expand into the winter, says Cort Pincock, one of the Winter Market’s organizers.
“Recently, we’ve had a lot of interest from both vendors and patrons to have something during the winter,” he said. “A lot of people don’t want to wait until May to see their favorite vendors again.”
With that, the management team behind the Idaho Falls Farmers Market brought together the first Winter Market. Organizers hope it’s the first of many.
“It’s hopefully something we can continue doing on a regular basis in years to come,” Pincock says.
Forty-three local vendors – all from the Idaho Falls Farmers Market – will be offering a wide range of gift ideas. And although there isn’t a lot of fresh produce this time of year, there will be farmers with lots to offer.
“We’ll have plenty of farmers with … leftovers from the season and also the preserves, jams and jellies, micro-greens and stuff they can sell in the winter,” Pincock says. “There will definitely be some good food there.”
There will be a great selection of baked goods and treats from three different food trucks, Pincock says.
The Winter Market is the latest expansion by the management team behind the Idaho Falls Farmers Market and Ammon Farmers Market as they strive to bring the community and local vendors together.

Pincock says it’s a matter of pride with organizers to have quality vendors. It’s something patrons will notice Saturday.
“We pride ourselves in having the best small businesses in the area, all in one spot,” Pincock explains. “Everything is handmade, handcrafted, made-from-scratch food, stuff like that. We try to offer the best and support our vendors the best they can.”
The Winter Market will be held on Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. at the Downtown Event Center at 480 Park Avenue in Idaho Falls. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on hand to hear kids’ Christmas wishes and pose for pictures. A certain grumpy green guy will be visiting as well.
