IDAHO FALLS – A recent high school graduate is turning his senior project into a real-life business venture.

Since graduating from Compass Academy in May, Dylan Case has been busy with his power washing company, 208 Power Crew. It’s a one-man operation and he washes sidewalks, gutters, decks, patios, garbage cans, houses and roofs throughout eastern Idaho.

The service is available during the spring, summer and winter months and he’s looking into starting a snow shoveling component during the winter.

In a conversation with EastIdahoNews.com, the 18-year-old from Idaho Falls says starting and running a business is one of the most challenging things he’s ever done. Despite that, he’s committed to making it successful.

“I do a lot of door knocking,” Case says.

He also offers free bids to first-time clients.

Over the last year, he’s saved enough money to start advertising and he says it’s starting to pay off.

The idea for his business came to him prior to his senior year. His mom had an electric power washer laying around the house and he started washing neighbors’ trash cans.

He earned $300 in one day and he realized a little ingenuity and effort could be profitable.

“It made me want to get into it even more. That’s when I decided to get my own power washer and move forward with that,” he says.

He’s having the time of his life running his own business and his goal is to see it grow into a company with multiple employees so he can serve more people.

Along the way, he’s hoping to take some college business courses as well.

“It would be a (chance) to get my foot in the door if any other business opportunities came along,” he says.

Those who’d like to support Case in his efforts or learn more about his business can give him a call at (208) 516-7407 or email 208powercrew@gmail.com.
