Police looking for suspects after break-in at local restaurant

IDAHO FALLS — Police are looking to identify two people who reportedly broke into Smitty’s Pancake & Steak House in Idaho Falls Thursday morning.

According to the Smitty’s Facebook page, two men broke into the restaurant around 4:30 a.m. Thursday.

Smitty’s manager Adam Prophet, says the suspects broke the locking mechanism on the back door, but they haven’t noticed anything else missing or damaged.

“We had to replace our back door locking mechanisms and everything,” says Prophet. “The alarm scared them off before they made it to the office.”

Anyone with information about this break-in is asked to report it to the Idaho Falls Police Department.
