Every week I’m interviewing interesting people in Idaho and around the world!

Walker Hayes is one of the coolest, down-to-earth people I’ve ever met. He shot to stardom with his massive hit “Fancy Like” a few years ago and he’s written a countless number of songs. Walker sells out shows, creates viral videos and loves spending time with his wife and six kids.

All the family accompanies Walker when he’s on the road. I’ve interviewed Walker twice before but when I heard he was performing in Utah a few weeks ago, I knew we needed to chat again. Here’s what I asked:

  • Last year you did daily trick shots every day on Instagram. Do you have a favorite one and do you miss doing them?
  • You just came out with a new song called ‘Ball Player.’ What inspired the song?
  • What is one of the biggest lessons you’ve learned being a big artist?
  • I’m starting school in two weeks. What advice do you have for me and other kids watching who are starting school?
  • I want to play a game called either/or. You tell me which one you prefer: beaches or mountains? Summer or winter? Pizza or burgers? Night or morning? Skittles or M&M’s?

Watch my entire interview with Walker in the video player above and you can follow him on Instagram, Facebook and his website.

You can watch Walker sing “If Father Time Had a Daughter” with two of his daughters here:
