The following is a news release from Teton Auto Group.

IDAHO FALLS — For 16 years, the Teton Auto Group has proudly supported local education through their annual car donation program. This year, the tradition continues as Teton Toyota and Teton Volkswagen have expanded their contributions, donating three cars to raise funds for local high school students.

The first donation of the year went to District 93’s Bonneville and Hillcrest High Schools, and it was a tremendous success with over $90,000 in tickets sold. The winning ticket was purchased by Jenny Orr, who bought four tickets from her grandson’s kindergarten teacher. Ironically, Jenny was not at the game when her name was called. Upon receiving the call from Travis Zmak of Teton Toyota, she initially thought it was a scam and hung up—only to realize the next day that she had truly won the car.

The Teton Auto Group’s commitment began 16 years ago when Mario Hernandez began donating cars to Bonneville Joint School District 93, and today, the program has grown under the leadership of Travis and Crystal Zmak of Teton Toyota and Dave Hernandez of Teton Volkswagen.

Now, a total of three cars are donated annually to support local schools: one to Bonneville and Hillcrest High Schools in District 93, one to Idaho Falls High School and Skyline High School in Idaho Falls School District 91, and one to Rigby High School from Teton Volkswagen.

“It is a great fundraiser for not only Bonneville’s clubs and athletic programs but also our feeder elementary schools,” Bonneville High School Athletic Director Tyler Johnson said. “Those funds really help them a lot with different things they do to enhance the educational experience.”

Rigby High School will give away their donated car in February during the Rigby vs. Madison basketball game, while Idaho Falls and Skyline will present their car in April at the Tiger-Grizz track meet on April 10th. Tickets for both upcoming car giveaways can be purchased at the respective schools, and all proceeds from the ticket sales directly benefit the students.

“At Teton Auto Group, we believe that supporting our local schools and youth sports programs is a vital part of building a stronger, more connected community,” says Travis Zmak, Managing Partner of Teton Toyota. “These programs teach valuable life lessons, and we are honored to be able to help provide opportunities for students to thrive both on and off the field.”

Teton Auto Group remains dedicated to supporting education and the local community through this long-standing tradition. Their donations help raise significant funds for school programs and activities, making a meaningful impact on the lives of local students and their families.
