IDAHO FALLS — The Spud Kings announced their 2024-25 roster Wednesday morning.

The roster is highlighted by eight returning players from the 2023-24 roster. Forwards Liam Filip (entering his third year with the team), Liam Donovan, Aidan Radic, Easton Edwards and Andrew Schmidt are joined by defensemen Lucas Karlsson and Brad Bonniface, and goalie Prestyn Carter. Spud Kings fans may also recognize the names of two players who faced the Spud Kings last season in former Rock Springs defenseman Lucas Rauner and forward Jonatan Raatikainen, who won the award for best defensive forward in the NCDC with the Provo Predators last season.

“Our hockey operations staff is optimistic about the team we have put together. It’s important in this process that we took our time making these decisions and give the players who came to Idaho Falls every chance to display their talent on the ice,” said Erik Hudson, Spud Kings General Manager of Hockey Operations.

The roster includes 17 forwards — Adam Brown, Aiden Radic, Chris Bruder, Liam Donovan, Michael Hollock, Ronnie Wade, Easton Edwards, Jason Piwowarcyzk, Jonatan Raatikainen, Charlie Kranglin, Tyler Atchinson, Liam Filip, Will O’Donovan, Andrew Schmidt, Marco Lauzon, Colin Hazlett and Ty Bashaw. Eight defenseman — Jack Postula, Lucas Karlsson, Lucas Rauner, Max Tauoa, Bronson Sabol, Brad Bonniface, Tristen Azleton and Connor Hanley. And 3 goalies – Charlie Durkin, Joey Bertram and Prestyn Carter.

The Spud Kings open their regular season on Friday, September 20, in Ogden with the Regular Season Home Opener scheduled for Saturday September 21, versus the Ogden Mustangs. Doors open at 6 p.m. with puck drop at 7:05, limited tickets remain. The first 2000 fans in attendance will receive a Spud Kings mini-stick at the door.
