IDAHO FALLS — Saturday marks the 23rd anniversary since Amber Hoopes disappeared from her grandparents’ home in Bonneville County.

The 20-year-old was last seen the night of Sept. 14, 2001 at the home on Lincoln Road next to Classic Auto. A truck from the shop was stolen and was later found discarded at the Ammon and Lincoln Road intersection.

A crowd of 50 people gathered to honor Hoopes at the Bonneville County Courthouse, raising awareness about her disappearance and dozens of other missing people in Idaho.
