A Discount Tire employee’s incredibly kind gesture for a customer led to this Feel Good Friday surprise

We received an email recently about a woman who had a memorable experience visiting Discount Tire in Chubbuck. It said:

“Lane is the manager at Discount Tire. Late one Friday afternoon/evening, we were flagged down and told we had a very low tire. It just so happened I was by Discount Tire. I went to have it checked out and the tire couldn’t be saved. We knew we needed tires but kept putting it off. Now it had to be done but we had to go to the bank to get money from savings so I asked them to put on my donut tire and I’d be back the next day or two. Lane offered to drive me to the bank. I declined because I also had to run home first. He reached in his pocket, pulled out his keys and said, ‘Take my car. Do what you need to do. Your other tires aren’t safe to drive on. I’ll have your car ready when you get back.’ I’d never met the man before in my life. He didn’t have to help us like that and he didn’t try and sell us tires that we didn’t need. The place was busy less than an hour before closing but he wanted us to be safe. Thanks to him we now have great tires and are once again safe on the road.”
