The following is a news release from Brigham Young University-Idaho.
REXBURG – The Idaho Supreme Court will hear three cases on the Brigham Young University-Idaho campus in Rexburg on Thursday, November 7. Hosting the court on campus will give students, employees, and members of the Rexburg community an opportunity to see first-hand how the state Supreme Court operates.
The Grand Ballroom in the Manwaring Student Center will be transformed into a courtroom for cases heard at 8:50, 10:00 and 11:10 a.m. All five Idaho Supreme Court justices will be present in person for the hearings on November 7. Details about the specific cases can be found here.

After the oral arguments conclude, the justices will hold a Q&A with students, starting at approximately 12:45 p.m.
“We hope students, employees and community members will take advantage of this opportunity to better understand how the court system works in the state of Idaho,” said University Public Affairs Director Brett Crandall.
“Visits like this offer our students, employees and community members an opportunity to observe the judicial process first-hand,” said Tyson Yost, Department of History, Geography and Political Science Chair. “It helps to reinforce the importance of the rule of law in our democratic institutions and the protections such a system offers each of us as citizens.”
Each year, the Idaho Supreme Court travels to hear oral arguments in different cities across the state. The justices last visited Rexburg in June 2023.
