The following is a news release and photo from the city of Pocatello.

The city of Pocatello has contracted Top Notch Tree Services to remove two large trees along the Portneuf River that have fallen into the water.

For safety reasons, please stay clear of the Greenway path north of the parking area on Aspen Drive while crews are at work with heavy equipment.

Crews will also be removing a couple of smaller trees in the area in preparation for the City’s rerouting of the Greenway Trail away from the eroding streambank.
