BOISE – Rigby is headed back to the state championship game after knocking off West No. 1 and previously unbeaten Rocky Mountain 21-18 on Friday night.

Amani Morel ran for 169 yards and a touchdown and Jerzey Duenes added 100 yards and two scores.

The Trojans (10-1) led 14-7 at the half after Duenes scored on a one-yard run and an 11-yard run.

Rocky Mountain (10-1) added field goal in the third to pull within 14-10, but Rigby expanded its lead in the fourth when Morel ran for a 65-yard touchdown.

The Grizzlies added a late score, but it wasn’t enough.

Rigby will play Eagle in the 6A championship game. Eagle beat Coeur d’Alene 28-14 in Friday’s other semifinal.
