A local Secret Santa is giving $1 million to deserving people in eastern Idaho this holiday season and the East Idaho News elves are helping out.

Every day, from now until the end of the year, we’ll be posting a Secret Santa surprise and we’re starting this season with an unforgettable gift for a woman named Wendy.

Wendy is a hard worker who would do anything for anyone. She had a van that was her only means of transportation. It was not in the best shape and she gave it to her sister so she could start up a cleaning business. Wendy now drives an old pickup truck that has many problems.

She is the janitor at an elementary school and loves the kids, who call her “Ms. Wendy.” She has three adult children that she raised on her own. She takes care of her mom, who lives with her and is the sole support for her family.

Wendy always has a smile on her face. When she’s not at school, she works part-time with a lady who has multiple sclerosis. She cleans her home, takes her on errands and visits with her.

Wendy is a joy to be around and is always making people smile.

Secret Santa asked us to take Wendy an early Christmas gift. Check out the video in the player above!
