IDAHO FALLS — Businesses across eastern Idaho are thanking those who have served or are currently serving our country with freebies and discounts on Veterans Day.
Here is a list of local businesses offering deals for veterans on Monday, Nov. 11. If we have missed any, email news@eastidahonews.com.
Restaurants
LONGHORN STEAKHOUSE
Between Nov. 10 — 11, veterans and active-duty service members can get 10% off their meal plus a free appetizer or dessert at LongHorn Steakhouse while dining in or placing a call-in order.
PICK ME UP
Present your military ID to any pick me up location on Monday, November 11 to get a free 24oz drink of your choice! (excludes energy bases)
APPLEBEE’S
Applebee’s is offering a free meal to veterans, active-duty military members, Reserves and National Guard members. They can choose from meals on the Veterans Day Menu while dining in.
Additionally, veterans can get a $5 Bounce Back Card while dining in at Applebee’s on Nov. 11. The coupon is valid on dine-in, to-go or delivery during a three-week window.
CHICK-FIL-A
Veterans get a free Chick-fil-A sandwich, a spicy sandwich or an 8 count nugget with military ID.
CHILI’S
Veterans and active military personnel will get a free entrée while dining in at Chili’s on Nov. 11. Choose from the following options:

Chili or Soup & Side Salad
DENNY’S
Active and retired military personnel can get a free Original Grand Slam breakfast at participating Denny’s locations when they share a valid military ID or DD 214. The dine-in offer is available between 5 a.m. and noon on Nov. 11.
FIREHOUSE SUBS
On Nov. 11, veterans and active-duty military members can score a free combo (medium sub, drink and chips or a cookie) at Firehouse Subs.
LITTLE CAESARS
Veterans and active-duty military members can get a free HOT-N-READY Lunch Combo at participating Little Caesars locations across the country on Nov. 11. between 11 a.m. — 2 p.m. when they show proof of service.
MOD Pizza
Veterans, active military members and their spouses can get a free mega cookie when they show a military ID with the purchase of a MOD-sized pizza/salad at MOD Pizza. The offer is only valid in-restaurant.
PERKINS
Active military personnel can get a free Great American Trio Meal at participating Perkins American Food Co. locations on Nov. 11 when they show a valid military ID.
BUFFALO WILD WINGS
Active and retired armed services members who show a valid ID can get 10 free boneless wings and fries on Veterans Day at Buffalo Wild Wings.
Additionally, the chain offers veterans a 15% off discount all year long on dine-in and call-in orders.
IHOP
On Nov. 11 between 7 a.m. — 7 p.m., participating IHOP locations nationwide will offer veterans and active-duty military members a free Red, White and Blueberry Pancake Combo while dining in.
JAKERS
Jakers is offering half price entree for veterans and active military members.
OLIVE GARDEN
On Nov. 11, Olive Garden is giving military members who dine in a free entrée from a special menu that includes popular items like Chicken Parmigiana and Fettuccine Alfredo.
OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE
In honor of Veterans Day, Outback Steakhouse is giving active and retired military members and their spouses a free Bloomin’ Onion and bevvy when they dine in and buy an adult entrée. The offer is valid Nov. 9 — 11 and is limited to one per table.
RED ROBIN
Active military members and veterans who show proof of service at Red Robin on Veterans Day can get a free Red’s Big Tavern Burger, served with a bottomless side. The offer is only valid for dine-in at participating locations and isn’t valid with other discounts. Modifications and other styles of Tavern Burgers are excluded.
REED’S DAIRY
Honoring current and veteran members of our military – come into any Reed’s Dairy on Veterans Day and receive a free waffle cone.
SMITTY’S PANCAKE & STEAKHOUSE
Smitty’s is offering a free meal for all veterans on Nov. 11. Choose from Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs Breakfast, Meat & Eggs Pancake Breakfast, or any Sandwich, Wrap, or Hamburger Meal. Proof of military service ID card is required.
SONIC
On Nov. 11 all Sonic customers can enjoy half-price shakes (any size and flavor), including Classic and Master Shakes.
STARBUCKS
Participating Starbucks locations are offering veterans, service members and military spouses a free 12-ounce brewed coffee (hot or iced on Veterans Day.
TEXAS ROADHOUSE
At participating locations, active-duty military and veterans can dine in or receive a meal voucher on Nov. 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a form of military ID. These vouchers are good for dine in or carry out at a later time. The voucher is good until May 30, 2025.
WENDY’S
Participating Wendy’s locations are giving veterans and active military members a free Breakfast Combo (no purchase necessary) during breakfast hours on Nov. 11 when they show their VetRewards card or notify a crew member of their military status.

OFFICE DEPOT & OFFICEMAX
Veterans, active duty and retired military personnel, reservists, and their dependents receive 25% off qualifying regular and sale-priced purchases in Office Depot and OfficeMax stores nationwide Nov. 9-11.
TARGET
Target is offering a 10% military discount from Oct. 27 through Nov. 11 to all US active-duty military personnel, veterans and their families.
FAMOUS FOOTWEAR
Famous Footwear provides a 10% discount for vets and active military year-round.
GREAT CLIPS
Veterans and active service members can come into any Great Clips salon and get a free haircut, or a free haircut card for a future visit. If you’re a non-military customer, you can visit a salon on Nov. 11 and receive a free haircut card to give to a service member or veteran as a way of saying thank you.
HOME DEPOT
Home Depot provides discounts for veterans and active military year-round.
JIFFY LUBE
Veterans geet a free oil change.
KOHL’S
Veterans and active-duty military receive 30% off their purchase, in-store only, on Nov. 11.
LOWE’S
Lowe’s provides discounts for veterans and active military year-round.
WALGREENS
Military, Veterans and their families receive 20% off eligible, regular-price purchases when using myWalgreens membership.
RUBBER DUCKY CAR WASH
Rubber Ducky Car Wash is offering veterans a free car wash on Saturday.
