8-Man: State honors for Butte County as Pirates make second state championship game appearance

Butte County players earned seven spots on the 2A All-State first team, with running back/D-lineman Razor Duke earning first-team honors on both sides of the ball and Levi Hendriks named first team as a punter and kicker.

Duke ran for 1,481 yards and 25 touchdowns and also had 59 tackles and 11 sacks.

Offensive lineman Bracken Powell, linebacker Rawson Twitchell and defensive back Koden Krosch were also selected first team.

In 1A, North Gem landed two players on the first team with running back Craig Yost and defensive lineman Rusty Hatch each named to the list. Rockland receiver Aidan Radford was also named first team.

Kendrick, which beat Butte County in the state title game, earned Player of the Year and Coach of the Year in 2A. Carey, the state champion in 1A, also won both individual awards.
