EastIdahoNews.com is partnering with Ashley and Ashley Outlet of Idaho Falls to honor people in our community for Feel Good Friday. Every week, we surprise someone deserving of special recognition.

Over the past few months, we have received several emails about a couple in Arimo. Here’s what one of the messages said:

Lewis and Rose opened their small take-out style restaurant several years ago. They currently have a permanent location in Arimo and they travel to the Bannock County Fair during fair week. The Marsh Valley School District provides free lunch for students during the month of June. However, they do not have a free lunch program in the city of Arimo – just the surrounding larger cities. This year, Lewis and Rose took it upon themselves to offer FREE lunch from their kitchen to the kids in the valley – food they purchase and make themselves. Once the district lunches ended at the end of June, Lewis and Rose continued to offer free lunch to the children within the valley for the entire month of July. They asked for donations from the public but noted even without donations, they would make sure that lunch still took place. The food is made fresh daily and is always above and beyond. If the student doesn’t like what they’re making that day or has an allergy, they personalize a meal for the child. Lewis and Rose are donating their time and money to provide for the youth of our community.

We knew Lewis and Rose would be the perfect people to surprise for Feel Good Friday. We drove to Arimo to make it happen! Check out the video in the player above.
