Parents of 8 open the front door and find a big surprise from a Secret Santa
Published atA local Secret Santa is giving $1 million to deserving people in eastern Idaho this holiday season and the East Idaho News elves are helping out.
Every day from now until the end of the year, we’ll be posting a Secret Santa surprise, and today we are surprising Elizabeth and Kevin – the parents of eight children.
Elizabeth recently suffered a stroke, causing her to lose vision in one of her eyes. She is a selfless person who takes care of many people in her neighborhood and is always looking out for anyone in need.
Kevin is a hard worker and supports the family while also going to school full-time. Their oven recently broke and they don’t have the money to repair it.
Elizabeth was recently driving the family vehicle when it was hit by another driver. She found out after taking their vehicle to a body shop that insurance was not going to cover the full replacement value of the car. With the money they did receive, they found a van that was big enough to carry their whole family but on the way home from purchasing it in Utah, the engine died and now it needs to be replaced.
The family is out several thousand dollars and still do not have a vehicle that fits their whole family. They only have a pickup truck that seats three so they shuttle the family one trip at a time.
Secret Santa asked the East Idaho News elves to go surprise Elizabeth and Kevin with a big early Christmas gift. Check out the surprise in the video player above!
