Pocatello, Malad locked into top spots in second week of state media poll
Published atThe was little movement in this week’s girls state media basketball poll.
Unbeaten Pocatello retained the top spot in 5A with six first-place votes, followed by Middleton and Blackfoot.
Malad, at 9-1, held the No. 1 spot in 3A, with Ririe and Firth tied for fourth with 10 points.
In 4A, unbeaten Timberlake was the unanimous selection at No. 1, but east Idaho was well represented with Sugar-Salem, Teton, Bear Lake and South Fremont rounding out the top 5.
Madison moved up a spot in 6A, coming in at No. 4.
Butte County was No. 5 in 2A, while Rockland, which received a first-place vote, was second in 1A, followed by Leadore at No. 3.
