Pocatello, Malad top first state media polls
Published atPocatello and Malad were picked No. 1 in their respective classifications in the first state media poll of the season released Tuesday.
Pocatello, at 7-0 as of Tuesday’s voting, earned five of seven first-place votes to top Middleton in the 5A poll, while unbeaten Blackfoot was tabbed third.
Timberlake topped the 4A poll, but east Idaho was well represented as Sugar-Salem, Teton, South Fremont and Bear Lake rounded out the top 5.
Malad picked up all seven first-place votes in 3A, while Butte County (No. 4 in 2A) and Rockland (No. 2 in 1A), each received first-place votes.
