A local Secret Santa is giving $1 million to deserving people in eastern Idaho this holiday season and the East Idaho News elves are helping out.

Every day from now until the end of the year, we’ll be posting a Secret Santa surprise, and today we are surprising a woman named Brandi.

Her husband, Ryan, is a 40-year-old father of one. He was recently working in the oil fields until he started to get pressure in the back of his head, which eventually blurred his vision.

After a few emergency visits and lumbar punctures, they discovered a blood clot on the right side of his brain. Two weeks later, he had a stroke and was in the ICU for 4 days. The doctors then found two more blood clots. He has gone through surgery and now has a shunt from his spine to his stomach to relieve the pressure in his head.

Brandi is the manager at Lucy’s Pizza in Roberts and works two cleaning jobs in Idaho Falls. She is at Lucy’s during the day and then goes to work in Idaho Falls until 4 a.m. She does not have much time to spend with her family but is doing the best she can.

Secret Santa asked the East Idaho News elves to go surprise Brandi with an early Christmas gift. Check it out in the video player above!
