Here are the winners from this year’s Christmas light contest in Chubbuck

CHUBBUCK — Chubbuck challenged the community to show off their best holiday decorations, and residents did not disappoint.
This year, the judges took a different approach and focused on new and unique decorations. The winners are as follows.
Best Overall: 485 Lariat
Griswold Award: 930 Salmon
Best Commercial: Idaho Central Credit Union
Most Traditional: 4962 Rose
Most Colorful: 5745 Sorrell
Spirit of the Season: 201 Henry and 1104 Congress
Best Small Display: 515 Homestead
Best Animation: 1389 Sawtooth
People’s Choice: 5740 Sorrel
Lariat and Sorrel Streets have both been named the winners of this year’s Street or Neighborhood Award. This award honors a specific street or neighborhood that goes above and beyond with festive decorations.
“There were many great houses to choose from for the judges,” said Brad Winters, the contest coordinator.
This year, Chubbuck added an Honorable Mention category to celebrate homes that may not have won a stand-alone award, but still deserve recognition for their creativity.
