UPDATE: Missing man located in rural Bonneville County

Godfrey was located Tuesday after being stranded in the backcountry areas of Bonneville County. He was taken to the hospital and is receiving medical treatment at this time.

IDAHO FALLS — Bonneville County Sheriff’s deputies are seeking the public’s help in locating 43-year-old Matthew H. Godfrey.
Godfrey was reported missing by family on Friday, Dec. 6 after he failed to return to his residence the previous evening. His family is concerned about the welfare of Godfrey as he did not appear to take a phone or personal belongings with him and it is unusual for him to not be in contact.
Godfrey is described as having brown Hair and brown Eyes, approximately 5’ 10” tall and around 210 lbs. He may be accompanied by his small gray dog.
Godfrey was last seen at approximately 2 p.m. purchasing items in the drive through of the Tobacco Connection on 17th St. in Ammon. At that time, he was driving his blue 2002 Dodge pickup with Idaho license plate 8BFP878.
Deputies wish to contact Godfrey to check his welfare and reconnect him with family members. Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Godfrey is asked to contact the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office through dispatch at (208) 529-1200.
