We surprised him at Sam’s Club last month. Now Secret Santa has one more gift for this family.
Published atA local Secret Santa is giving $1 million to deserving people in eastern Idaho this holiday season and the East Idaho News elves are helping out.
Every day from now until the end of the year, we’ll be posting a Secret Santa surprise, and today we are taking a gift to a family that we forgot to deliver a few weeks ago!
You may recall us surprising Saidu, a man who works at Sam’s Club. His wife, Selena, gave birth to their second child earlier this year after a high-risk pregnancy.
Baby Oliver arrived a month early via emergency c-section and spent several weeks in the EIRMC NICU. He was diagnosed with Down syndrome with possibly heart abnormalities and is on oxygen.
Selena and Saidu are the most generous couple. They always help their elderly neighbors by picking up groceries or helping around the house or yard. Saidu jumps at the opportunity to assist.
Selena was a teacher but took time off to stay at home with their toddler. There have been so many medical expenses with their pregnancy and even more so to come, especially if he ends up needing heart surgery. This has been such a challenging and stressful year but they have made the most of it.
We surprised Saidu and then, about a week later, Oliver was released from the NICU. Secret Santa asked us to go and deliver one more gift to the family. Check out the video in the player above!
