Man killed in western Idaho crash, semi driver taken to hospital

GREENLEAF — Idaho State Police is investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred at 7:43 a.m., on Tuesday, Jan. 28, on State Highway 19 at Notus Road in Greenleaf.
A 2008 Ford F150, driven by an 86-year-old male from Caldwell, was traveling southbound on Notus Road. A 2024 Freightliner semi, driven by a 45-year-old male from Boise, was traveling westbound on State Highway 19. The Ford F150 failed to yield to right of way traffic and was struck by the semitruck.
The driver of the Ford F150 succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash. Next of kin has been notified. The driver of the semitruck was transported at a later time to a local hospital.
The intersection of State Highway 19 at Notus Road was blocked for approximately three hours.
This crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
