IDAHO FALLS — Police are searching for a driver who hit a building, caused damage and then left the scene.

The incident happened late in the evening on Dec. 17 at the Manwaring Web Solutions Building, 545 West 19th Street in Idaho Falls.

According to the Idaho Falls Police Department, nobody was hurt in the hit-and-run.

A surveillance photo posted on Facebook by IFPD shows that the vehicle involved appears to be a 2001-2005 BMW 330XI.

“We have a photo that shows the driver, but we’d like to give that person an opportunity to come forward before we put his photo on social media,” the post said.

Jarom Manwaring, owner of Manwaring Web Solutions told EastIdahoNews.com in a previous interview back in December that a nearby business caught it on camera.

“We can see the vehicle hit our building and then drive away,” said Manwaring. “A part of the car came off, and it was kind of a big break for us.”

Police said if you or you know who did this, call and report it at (208) 529-1200.

Idaho Falls Police reminded the community that leaving the scene of an accident is a misdemeanor as long as nobody gets hurt. They added that getting in a crash isn’t necessarily a crime, however, failing to report it is.
