Popular chicken restaurant announces plans to open in eastern Idaho

CHUBBUCK — A well-known restaurant chain is coming to Chubbuck.
Summit Commercial Real Estate Group, who is representing the tenant, has announced a deal to open Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers at 4310 Yellowstone Avenue where Denny’s once stood.
“Demolition of the former Denny’s, and construction of the new Raising Cane’s is scheduled to begin soon,” the company posted on Facebook.

The demolition is slated for March and construction on a new building will happen once the demolition is complete.
In an interview with EastIdahoNews.com, Summit Commercial Executive Director Andrea Nilson says the restaurant will tentatively open in January 2026. She’s excited to see this project finally move forward.
“They would like to move it forward more quickly, but a lot depends on the permitting with the city and the projected construction,” Nilson said. “It’s fun to watch something come to fruition that we’ve been working on for (a long time).”
A Meridian Raising Cane’s was announced last year. The Chubbuck store will be the franchise’s second location in the state and the first in eastern Idaho.
Raising Cane’s sells southern-style chicken fingers and sandwiches. The restaurant chain has over 800 locations and is famous for not only its chicken, but also its Canes sauce. It was founded in 1996 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, according to its website.
Additional Idaho locations may be coming as well. Summit continues to negotiate property deals to make that a reality.
