You can enjoy drinks, flatbreads, Korean BBQ skewers and more at XVIII
Published atIDAHO FALLS — XVIII in downtown Idaho Falls has it all. Drinks, entrees, appetizers and entertainment.
Matt Feldman is the executive chef of XVIII (18) and he sat down with EastIdahoNews.com to tell us about some of their dishes.
We tried the Big Board with imported meats and cheeses, olives, pickles, dried cranberries and more. The selections change weekly, so customers can always try something new. Their crostinis are crunchy and thick, perfect for piling on their premium meats and cheeses.
Next we tried the Wild Mushroom Flatbread. The flatbread is layered with brie cheese, ground wagyu, arugula and onions. It comes with Jamaican jerk honey butter for an added pop of flavor.
“We intended on this one being our seasonal winter flatbread to make it a little heavier hitting and stick to the ribs,” Feldman said.
For the entree, we tried the Korean BBQ Skewers. It’s made with locally raised filet mignon loin, sticky rice, and a toasted orange to squeeze some extra juice on top. The skewers were moist, tender and delicious.
For drinks, we tried a couple of their zero-proof drinks.
“We want this place to be somewhere you can go hangout, have a good time, eat, drink, even if you’re not drinking alcohol and still get quality drinks,” said bartender Mason Woolf.
We tried the XVIII Julius with fresh orange juice, fresh raspberries and syrup. It was creamy with a hint of orange and sweet raspberry.
The Snow Day was my personal favorite. It’s a punchy blend of lime and mint. They use house-made peppermint syrup, fresh-squeezed lime juice, cream and lime sparkling water.
“It’s like Jamba Juice meets mocktails,” Woolf said.
