IDAHO FALLS – The Heart Ball is returning for its fourth year in a row and organizers have high expectations for the black tie event.

The 2025 ball is for adults only and is happening at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 22. It will be held at the Shoshone-Bannock Event Center in Fort Hall.

Dinner will be served and there will be a variety of activities, including two live bands, as well as a silent and live auction for various raffle prizes. There will also be a cake auction.

CPR and automated external defibrillator training will be offered for anyone who wants to participate.

Dr. Blake Wachter, president of the Idaho Heart Foundation, is one of the organizers. She looks forward to keeping it fresh and exciting every year. For that reason, the theme and dinner menu is a surprise for those who attend.

“There will be plenty for meat-lovers, as well as vegetarian and gluten-free options,” Wachter tells EastIdahoNews.com. “We’ll have cocktails and mocktails at a cash bar.”

The Heart Ball is a fundraiser to provide AEDs for the Idaho Heart Foundation.

Wachter founded the nonprofit in 2017. It provides lifesaving equipment to first responders and public venues throughout the Snake River Valley. It also teaches youth how to perform CPR and safely use AEDs, and provides scholarships to students pursuing careers in healthcare.

Since its formation, the Idaho Heart Foundation has provided dozens of AEDs to the community.

Wachter is hoping for a huge turnout and is excited to host this event for the community.

“This event allows everyone to get together and get all dressed up for an amazing time and support a good cause,” says Wachter. “If we raise enough, we can get an automatic CPR machine. They’re anywhere from $18,000 to $24,000.”

Sponsors for this year’s event include Idaho Falls Community Hospital and Mountain View Hospital. Teton Auto Group, Porter Pro Media and Blue Phoenix Branding powered by ProForma are also sponsoring it.

Tickets for the Heart Ball are $250 apiece or $2,500 for a table of 10. To buy tickets or learn more, click here.
