POCATELLO – People who are preparing to tie the knot with their significant other could plan their entire wedding at a local bridal fair.

The 9th annual Idaho Bridal Fair, organized by Historic Downtown Pocatello, will take place on March 1 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Red Lion Hotel at 1555 Pocatello Creek Road. There will be 40 vendors at this event — all of which are from southeast Idaho. Engaged couples who attend will have the ability to schedule appointments on-site.

“We highlight everything that an engaged couple needs to plan the perfect wedding, dresses, flowers, cakes, photographers, videographers, photo booths, med spas, teeth whitening, insurance, just a variety,” said Stephanie Palagi, president of Historic Downtown Pocatello.

Admission to the fair is complimentary for brides, their bridal parties and families. They’re encouraged to register in advance on the website. People who go to the fair will find what Palagi described as a “very elegant trade show type setup with samples and price lists.”

“We have brides that have come in the past, and they’ve been able to plan and schedule their entire wedding during the event,” Palagi said.

Attendees will be able to find Molinelli’s Jewelers at the event, which is the primary sponsor of the fair. Services that people will be able to find will include:

  • Wedding Dresses, Formal Apparel, Tuxedos
  • Florists
  • Photographers
  • Photo Booths
  • Wedding Cakes
  • Invitation Design & Printing
  • Salons & Spas
  • Wedding & Reception Facilities
  • Hotels
  • Wedding Rentals & Decor
  • DJ’s, Bands & Entertainment
  • Insurance & Financial Planners

At 1 p.m., Valentine Ballroom & Bridal will hold a fashion show, where around 20 models will present bridal dresses. There will also be some models that present tuxedos from Robinville Sewing & Men’s Formal Wear.

Palagi spoke to how much time is saved by offering engaged couples one place to find everything they need to plan their wedding.

“You’re gonna have to travel to different locations throughout the city and spend valuable time when you can spend that same time in one location and find what you need from quality vendors,” Palagi said.
